Kilkenny has a long established agri-food sector with major companies operating in the county including Glanbia and Connolly’s RED MILLS, complemented by an emerging artisan food producer base of approximately 40 micro and medium sized food producers.
Based in Goresbridge, in the east of Kilkenny, Connolly’s RED MILLS produces and globally exports scientifically advanced nutrition and healthcare solutions for high-performance animals such as race horses and greyhounds, as well as for general animal health and wellbeing.
Glanbia PLC, a leading international nutritional ingredients and cheese group, also have their Global Nutritionals headquarters and the Group’s main innovation centre located in Kilkenny.
